Jinwoon from 2AM is Jin Yoo-Jin who acted when he was a young child. He has a short temper and is a troubled student who dreams of becoming a rock star. He attempts to cure his pain caused by his parents' divorce through music. You probably know her as Lee Teuk from Super Junior's on-air wife or the sassy girl from the movie, "Sunny". In this series, Kang Sora will play the role of Shin Hae-sung. She learned about music only through books, hence her high written exam score, but poor music performance score when entering Kirin Arts High School. Jiyeon from T-ara is Rian of HershE and she is the 'face' of the group. She regards acting as her main job and considers being a singer as just a side job. Hyorin from Sistar is Nana of HershE. As the leader of the group, she is gifted with many talents but a twist towards the end of the series awaits her. The original followed the lives of students as they aspire to become superstars in Kirin Arts High School. Whereas in Dream High 2, after Kirin Arts High School is taken over by OZ Entertainment and the company transfers over its own idol stars to Kirin High to avoid a law requiring under age entertainers to study for a set time, the newly transferred idols from Oz Entertainment and the troubled students at Kirin High are ready to battle it out.  Many voiced their unhappy opinions of the cast line-up on Dream High 2, but we learned from the original that even when the original had casted idol stars like Suzy, Wooyoung, IU who all had no prior acting experiences, it still was popular. As we’ve seen with Suzy, she received harsh criticisms for her acting in the previous season.
